In this case the clients were both family members getting design work done for free and in a hurry (about a two-hour deadline, no doubt reflected in the quality of the work…), so I didn’t feel as though I was injuring them by copying my own design to expedite the process. But it did make me wonder: is it stealing when you copy your own work?
No way!!
(they look fab!)
Thanks KT!
I see this more as you having a signature “announcement bird” for informational designs. They bring a unity to your designs, when actually the layout and feel of both posters – and even the birds themselves – are very different and reflect different types of events. I like the concept!
Thanks Jane, for your thoughtful response. And I do default to the Announcement Bird (who now has a name!). When I saw this video, I blushed with embarrassment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XM3vWJmpfo
